Racing History:

  “Nitro” Nick Gilcris comes from a racing family. His dad Pete ran for many years at Riverside and his grandfather Ronal has been around racing for years also. The Gilcris family has been known to help many racers over the years.  Nick made his racing debut in the Daredevil Rookie division at Riverside in 2008. He rolled his car two and a half times coming to rest on his roof in only his third race, but that did not stop him. He came back the next week and took the win.  He had a total of six third place finishes, one second place and two win. He moved up to the Daredevil Veteran division in 2009. He dominated the field with three third place finishes, one second, and six wins. In 2010 he stepped up to the Super Stock division. Running a Camaro, Nick took a couple of weeks to get the hang of the car, but after that was top 5 all the time. He had three third place finishes, one second, and four wins. He finished in second overall for his Rookie Super Stock year. Nick will be going for the Super Stock Championship in 2011 and will be moving into the Late Model division in 2012.
